Thankful

Hi my loves!
I cannot believe it's been a month since I last blogged. I have been super busy lately and also my computer is kind've messed up so it makes it a little difficult to post.

As you all know today is thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for. I am amazed at how blessed I am. Now, I may not be exactly where I want to be but I am sure on my way and I truly believe that timing is everything. Sometimes we get so caught up in where we want to be and the "what ifs" that we don't stop and cherish the now, this moment.

I leave you guys with this: Appreciate your journey and remember that where you are right now is exactly where you need to be. Growth take time.

What do you think?

4 Year Anniversary

When I was 16 I decided to start my own fashion blog. I always had a passion for fashion but I didn't feel like I was taking it anywhere so I decided "Hey! Why not start a blog." And here I am 4 years later.
My blog may not be well-known or commercial and that's fine with me. That does not determine my success. What does is when someone says "Roger, I saw you wear that and you inspired me to go out and get it." or when someone says "You inspired me to try something new, thank you!" My blog is a place for anyone and everyone to feel inspired. So, thank you to all my friends and family who one way or another have been a part of my blog. And a HUGE thank you to my readers! I love you all.

HOOD FAMOUS

Hi my loves!
I love when I am able to dress up a pair of sweatpants. I paired my sweatpants with the sweater from my previous post that I told all I would be living in. I completed the look with my clear booties which in my opinion, dress the look up.

Active Casual wear

Hi my loves!
It's officially Fall and I am loving it! Ya'll know this is my favorite season. Today I pulled out my Adidas to hang out with some friends in the neighborhood. I want to start incorporating more sneakers into my wardrobe and when I saw these babies, it was love at first sight. I paired these with my American Apparel harem pants and an oatmeal colored pullover which is perfect for the season. I feel like i'll be living in this, I have it in 2 colors and plan on getting more!

NYFW: CARLEEN SS17

Hi my loves!

I am kicking off fashion week with the CARLEEN Spring/Summer 17' presentation. The theme of this collection is patchwork meets poolside. While looking at this collection, the delicate hues of blue stood out to me as well as the intricate quilting patterns, giving me a very nostalgic feeling of afternoons in the Dominican Republic by my aunt's pool.

Independent Soul

Hi my loves!

I have been trying to blog more often but it is super hard as I have been extremely busy lately.

I absolutely love this look. This is a look I wore to visit family members. It's very comfortable and relaxed.

For this look I used a skirt as a head wrap. Hahaha, talk about resourceful. This skirt is super long and wide which means you can create an unlimited number of styles.

Reality Check

Hello my loves!
I am back in New York from my getaway to Dominican Republic and to be honest, I didn't want to come back. I mentioned a few blog posts ago that when I travel back home I come back a new version of myself. Visiting puts things into perspective. I had a reality check while I was there. Sometimes we put our dreams aside because we get distracted in our daily life. In my case, I had been putting my career as a Wardrobe Stylist to the side because I was caught up in everything else. I realized I needed to do what makes ME happy, even if that means taking a risk.

I'm truly obsessed with these culottes from Olly Oxen Free Vintage, not only are they chic but they go with pretty much anything. I took them with me all over my trip, hahaha! I even wore these on my birthday.

Happy Friday everyone!
On Wednesday my friends and I went to a free latin dance party on The Highline and let me tell ya'll.... It was so much fun! Orlando Marin and his all-star band were performing. It was the perfect way to start off the summer.

Classic Twist

Happy Thursday, I hope everyone had an amazing week.
Crop tops have a nostalgic place in my heart. When I look at old pictures of my family members or celebrities in the 90's  there's a part of me that wishes I could somehow jump into a time machine and live that era. I'm a huge fan of crop tops because they are a perfect match with high waisted bottoms being that 90% of my bottoms are high waisted. I usually wear my shirts tucked in, but crop tops are a classic twist.

When I first purchased these pants I was super excited about them but then they were just sitting in my closet for months! Now that my love for wide leg pants has grown bigger, I decided to pull these out. These metallic pants got me in all the right places!

Seasons Change

Hi my loves!
I realized that I talk about the weather in New York a lot on here but that's because it has a big influence when putting together an outfit. One day it's beautiful, the next it's freezing! Now that Spring is somewhat here, I wanted to give you guys a nice spring look. I really like the all white with the layer of nude. It just feels so clean.

Abrazo La Vida

Hi my loves!
I am back in New York City and although I am happy to be back, I am missing my country more than ever! I miss my beautiful friends and amazing family. I miss the warm breeze and I miss the architecture. I am so inspired by the houses in the Dominican Republic and I think this outfit is a good representation of that.
About two years ago my aunt gifted me this blouse. Isn't it BEAUTIFUL ya'll?

I named this look "Abrazo La Vida (I Hug Life)" not only because of the song I will share with you all but because I am greatly thankful. I am thankful for my friends and family who genuinely care and worry for me. Every time I travel I feel like I come back a new person, a better version of myself. My trip put some things into perspective for me and that is one of the biggest blessings, to learn and evolve.
